02 / How it works
The mechanism, not the promise.
- Auto-discovery
- The device framework scans for known signatures and offers what it finds rather than making you pick from a list of model numbers.
- Adapter abstraction
- Each device class has one contract. Adding a receiver or a radio is an adapter, not a rewrite.
- Sensor fusion
- Readings are normalized for units and sample rate before anything reads them, so two sources never produce contradictory conclusions.
- Graceful degradation
- A disconnected device is stated as disconnected. The app never shows a stale value as if it were live.
- Power awareness
- Battery state per peer where the device reports it, including unattended relay caches.
