Slope angle. Aspect. Bulletin. Read all three.

Avalanche terrain is the one hazard in the app where the data is genuinely decisive and genuinely available. Slope angle from LiDAR, aspect from the DEM, and the regional bulletin — on one map, offline, at the trailhead where the decision is actually made.

Derived from the highest-resolution DEM available, with the critical band shaded.
Aspect
Because the same angle behaves differently facing north.

Classification, plus the regional bulletin where one is published.
Winter weather
New snow, wind loading and the freezing level.

Capacity, season and access.

Avalanche

Slope, aspect and bulletin on one offline map. The route line is checked against the shaded band, not against memory.
