Here is a plain-language summary of what we collect, why, and what you control. It is written to be understood. The full policy is the binding document, and if you ever find the two out of step we would like to hear about it.
01 / What is collected
- Position
- Collected while you are recording a trip, sharing with a group, or running scheduled check-ins. We do not track you in the background at other times.
- Health data
- Only from devices you choose to connect, and private by default. A group leader sees what you have chosen to share, and nothing more.
- Trips and observations
- What you create. It is your data and it exports in GPX, KML, GeoJSON and CSV.
- Device and diagnostic
- Errors and performance information, so we can fix problems. Your organization's administrator can see the same log we can.
- Payment
- Handled by our payment processor. We keep your plan and its status; we never see or store your card details.
02 / What you control
How long we keep it
Retention is configurable, and shortening how long position history is kept is a setting you can change yourself.
Where it lives
Data location is a deployment parameter. In an air-gapped deployment it never leaves your network.
Taking it with you
Bulk export is a documented endpoint in open formats, so moving your data elsewhere is straightforward.
Deleting it
Closing your account removes your data on a published schedule, which you can read before you decide.
