Multi-modal in one plan
Hike to a put-in, paddle a river, portage, then ride out. The router treats mode transitions as first-class rather than making you plan three separate routes.
Platform · Routing & optimization
Most apps snap a line to a trail. NavTrax runs a routing service with nine endpoints over OSRM, Valhalla and Overpass, solves against constraints you set, then enriches the result with water, resupply, difficulty and predicted coverage before it hands anything back.

Hike to a put-in, paddle a river, portage, then ride out. The router treats mode transitions as first-class rather than making you plan three separate routes.
Route past rivers, lakes or waterfalls by preference. The engine queries the actual OSM features rather than guessing from a photo database.
A dedicated endpoint finds water sources along the line, with community-reported status, spaced against what you can carry.
For long trails, resupply points come back with the vendors that serve them and what they stock.
Gain, loss and maximum grade per segment, so a difficulty class has evidence behind it.
A route can be re-planned on the device against the cached graph. Losing signal does not mean losing the router.
04 / Specification
| Level | Max distance | Max elevation gain | Max grade |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | < 8 km | < 300 m | < 10% |
| Moderate | < 16 km | < 800 m | < 15% |
| Hard | < 32 km | < 1600 m | < 25% |
| Expert | ≥ 32 km | ≥ 1600 m | ≥ 25% |
05 / Process
Every node in this graph names the file it came from, so the diagram can be audited against the codebase rather than taken on trust.
Basic routing is free. Safety-aware, multi-modal and constraint-based routing are on Pro.
